School visit to Father Christmas
Evesham Rotary funded a number of children from the Vale of Evesham school to visit Santa at Smart Trees Grotto. The children were taken by coach from the school and had the opportunity to wander around the fields of fir trees looking for the twelve days of Christmas activities and they were able to take a tractor safari around the site and feed real reindeer. The highlight was definitely a visit to receive a gift from Santa and have the chance for a photo with him in his magnificent Grotto, while the snow fell softly outside. There were numerous elves around to assist as well as Rotarians Pamela Nilo-Walton and Chris Bloomfield. After lunch sitting on hay bales in the Christmas themed barn children were able to play until their muddy, tired but happy return to school together with a Christmas tree donated by Smart Trees.
